Nada Dalgamouni has been serving the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit (IIMD) for three decades. Nada started as a volunteer 1991 and in 1993, she assigned as the coordinator of the Ethnic Enrichment Experiences (EEE) programs. In 2001, Nada became the Global Education Director. Currently, Nada serves as the Cultural Connection Consultant for IIMD. During her career, she designed and developed several educational and recreational programs focused on promoting Global Learning & Cultural Awareness, encouraging participants from preschools to major corporations to “Think Globally and Act Locally”. She has been working with a team of presenters “Cultural Ambassadors”, from 103 Countries, intern students from Michigan educational institutes and volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Together they have been on a mission to build bridges of harmony, unity, peace and understanding in the Metropolitan Detroit community.
Nada has been nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was featured in channel 7 as” Person of the Week”, and in Channel 2 as “People We Should Know”. Nada’s story and accomplishment has been presented in many ethnic publications.
As a cultural connection consultant, Nada coordinates various cultural events and activities throughout southeast Michigan. She has established the International Club after school program, managed Global Journeys Summer Camp, planned cultural celebrations in schools & universities, parks and recreational Centers, interfaith institutions, nonprofit organizations, senior homes and major businesses & corporations.
