COVID-19 Update
Updated December 1st, 2020
Per the Governor’s Executive Order, IIMD is open on a limited basis. Please call our office at (313) 871-8600 to schedule a virtual appointment for any of the following services:
Immigration Legal Services, Center for Working Families, Food Assistance Employment and Training Plus (FAE&T Plus), English as a Second Language (ESL), Financial Empowerment Program, Workforce Development.
We encourage you to make a virtual appointment when possible. If you are able, you can email your case representative. At this time, IIMD will continue to postpone in-person events and suspend rentals until it is safe to gather again. IIMD is taking the necessary precautions to assure all participants, staff, students, volunteers and guests remain safe from COVID-19. We need your help and participation in helping keep everyone safe.
We respectfully ask that all those who enter the building adhere to the guidelines set forth in the governor’s order and IIMD administrative policies. This includes wearing a mask at all times, those without a mask will not be served; practice social distancing, staying 6 feet apart from one another; and maintaining appropriate hygiene, including, but not limited to, thoroughly washing your hands. If you are not feeling well or traveled within the past 14 days, please do not come to the building. If you come to the building while sick, you will be asked to leave. We are eager to fully reopen our doors; however, this will take time. We ask for your continued cooperation and patience while we work to protect our neighbors, friends, clients, and community.
If you have any questions regarding the above-mentioned protocols, please feel free to contact IIMD’s Executive Director, Wojciech Zolnowski.
We thank you and look forward to serving you.
